To assign wallpaper in Windows 98
I recommend creating a separate directory on your C: drive to hold any additional wallpaper files you might collect. That way it will be easier to keep them whenever you upgrade Windows. So, for example, save the LakeAtDawn1024.bmp file to a directory C:\wallpaper.

Next, right-click your Windows desktop background in an area without any open windows. This opens the Display Properties frame. Select the Background tab. This displays your current wallpaper and shows a list of other wallpapers. Click the Browse button and navigate the directory tree until you locate, for example, C:\wallpaper\LakeAtDawn1024.bmp. Double-click the file name. Finally, click Apply or OK and exit Display Properties.
